The state's group of defensive ends is led by the region's top prospect overall, Moreno Valley Rancho Verde's Powell, while Plantaric is the top pass rusher in Northern California.

The #1 overall player in the West, is a freak of an athlete.  Could play linebacker or tight end.

2. Eddie Plantaric, Fair Oaks (Calif.) Del Campo- Stanford
Big, strong and quick off the line, Plantaric could play any of the line spots.

3. Tony Washington, Rancho Cucamonga (Calif.) Los Osos
At a school known for its offense, Washington has been a shining star on defense.

Like Washington, Hudson's a defensive star at a school that's had great offensive success.
