So Cal QB enjoys Steve Clarkson camps

Upland (Calif.) quarterback Justin Nunes talks about his experience at Clarkson camp...

2011 QB Justin Nunes, Upland High School, just completed the Steve Clarkson Field Generals two day camp at the famous Rose Bowl.

"I had a great time and learned a lot.  The weather was perfect and spending two full days in the Rose Bowl was awesome. The instruction covered all areas of the game from board work and recruiting to fitness and fundamentals.  Probably the best part was meeting QB's from all around the country.  I hung out the most with Riley Magner from Boise and Trevor Gretzky and thought they were awesome guys."

Steve Clarkson had this to say about Nunes.

"There are many things I like about Justin as a quarterback prospect.  Physically he has a thick frame, a terrific arm, and great athleticism.  He reminds me a lot of Aaron Rodgers."

Justin is busy getting his recruiting started while maintaining straight A's in Honors and AP classes and running for office at his high school.

"I feel very fortunate to be in the position I am right now.  I have been getting a lot of attention from all over the country from Ivy league to BCS schools.  Even though offers haven't started yet I feel blessed just to be talking with so many different colleges" Justin said.  Justin has a busy summer planned as well.  "I have been invited by many coaches to attend their camps, so choosing from those will be tricky, but I hope to get to 2 or 3 of them.  I was a qualifier for Steve Clarkson's Santa Barbara retreat on Memorial weekend and that will be the only other non-school camp I will attend.  I really enjoy the family atmosphere and specialized training I get from Steve and Anton Clarkson, and I can't wait to compete in Santa Barbara.  After the camps,my focus will be with my team to defend our championship from last season."
