Central Cali RB Picks Pack

Fresno (Calif.) Clovis West running back Kendall Brock took an unofficial visit to Nevada this past weekend for senior day. Upon returning home, the talented back learned he had an offer from the Wolf Pack. And it didn't take him long to make his decision…

Kendall Brock (5-8, 187) rushed for nearly 1,800 yards last season. But his most impressive performance might have been in Las Vegas in March for the Badger 7-on-7 tournament.

Brock teamed up with USC QB commit Cody Kessler for Team Central Cali to form a potent duo. Brock was impossible to cover for linebackers and safeties. His plan for the spring was to solidify his versatility as a slot receiver and not just as running back.

But with 4.5 speed, quick feet, and the strength to pound the ball between the tackles, his ability to carry rock is hard to ignore on film.

Brock told Scout.com last year the Passing Down Camp, where he earned offensive MVP honors, that Boise State was his dream school. However, the Broncos never showed any serious interest. In 2010, Brock turned his attention to three schools that were Nevada, San Diego State, and Washington State.

A lingering hamstring injury hampered his late spring and summer camp plans, but he still was able to make it to Reno this last weekend for Nevada's Senior Day.

"I went to senior day and they loved me," said Brock. "I called them this morning [to follow up] and they offered me."

Brock says he loved his trip, and apparently, it was all he needed to see.

"I loved it. The campus was beautiful," added Brock. "The football facilities were amazing. I just had a feeling that maybe this was the place for me."

Minutes after telling Scout.com about receiving his offer, Brock text us letting us know he had verbally committed.
