Rank (prev)

1 (1)
Manatee logo
Manatee (8-0) Bradenton, FL

We knew Palmetto's 7-1 record was in serious jeopardy, but this is getting ridiculous. Manatee sends Palmetto home with a 62-0 loss. Sarasota won't fare much better this week either.

Last: Def Palmetto 62-0
: 11/2 Sarasota (3-5)
2 (2)
John Curtis Christian Logo
John Curtis (8-0) River Ridge, LA

Curtis took it relatively easy on Clark, only beating them 55-0. South Plaquemines brings a 7-1 record into its game with the Patriots, but really, they're no match for John Curtis.

Last: Def Clark 55-0
Next: 11/2 @ South Plaquemines (7-1)
3 (7)
Vista Murrieta Logo
Vista Murrieta (9-0) Murrieta, CA

The last two opponents Vista Murrieta faced came into the games with a combined 13-2 record. The Broncos sent them packing with a combined score of 97-17. Vista Murrieta may be the hottest team in the country right now.

Last: Def Murrieta Mesa 52-0
Next: 11/2 Chaparral (6-3)
4 (18)
St. Edward (10-0) Lakewood, OH

St. Edward saw its lofty ranking go up in smoke last year, and the Eagles came in a little more under the radar this season. St. Edward finished off an amazing run of regular season victories with a win over No. 6 St. Ignatius. Now it's playoff time.

Last: Def No. 6 St. Ignatius 20-13
Next: 11/3 Mayfield (6-4)
5 (6)
Katy Logo
Katy (8-0) Katy, TX

Katy's string of easy wins is over. It's time to tighten up the chin straps, because the rest of the way gets tougher starting with Cinco Ranch this week.

Last: Def Strake Jesuit 62-7
Next: 11/3 Cinco Ranch (6-2)
6 (5)
Bellevue Logo
Bellevue (9-0) Bellevue, WA

Bellevue had little trouble with its trip to Mercer Island. The playoffs are next.

Last: Def Mercer Island 42-0
Next: Playoffs
7 (8)
DeSoto Logo
DeSoto (8-0) DeSoto, TX

Duncanville lived up to its 2-5 record as DeSoto flew past them. Grand Prairie isn't going to be much of a game this week either.

Last: Def Duncanville 60-27
Next: 11/2 Grand Prairie (2-6)
8 (9)
University School Logo Ft. Lauderdale
University (7-0) Ft. Lauderdale

University's game against Edison was pushed back due to weather related concerns. The Suns have a quick turnaround to play Eagle's View on Thursday. No matter, University will wrap up its regular season 9-0 on Thursday night.

Last: Postponed
Next: 10/29 Edison (3-3)
9 (11)
North Allegheny Logo
North Allegheny (9-0) Wexford, PA

North Allegheny put the cap on an undefeated regular season with a convincing win over North Hills who entered the game 6-2.

Last: Def North Hills 42-0
Next: Playoffs
10 (10)
Butler Bulldogs Logo
Butler (10-0) Matthews, NC

Independence ruled the '00s in North Carolina, but their lofty 9-1 record was no match for Butler in a 33-14 win for the Bulldogs. Butler will ease into the playoffs with a win over West Forsyth this week.

Last: Def Independence 33-13
Next: 11/2 West Forsyth (5-5)
11 (4)
St. Ignatius Logo
St. Ignatius (9-1) Cleveland, OH

It would be tough to call their loss to No. 18 St. Edward an upset. St. Edward has an argument of being the best team in the nation right now. Ignatius can't lick its wounds for long. 9-1 Austintown-Finch is capable of hanging a second loss on the Wildcats.

Last: Lost to No. 18 St. Edward 20-13
: 11/3 Austintown-Finch (9-1)
12 (12)
Good Counsel Logo
Good Counsel (8-1) Olney, MD

Bishop O'Connell posed no threat to Good Counsel last week, and Archbishop Carroll poses even less of one this week.

Last: Def Bishop O'Connell 30-0
: 11/3 @ Archbishop Carroll (2-6)
13 (13)
De La Salle Logo
De La Salle (9-0) Concord, CA

De La Salle's annual spot representing the North in the Open Division Bowl game will remain unchallenged another year, though this week's game with California, no not Cal, looks intriguing on paper.

Last: Def San Ramon Valley 34-9
Next: 11/2 @ California (8-1)
14 (14)
Lincoln Logo
Lincoln (7-0) Tallahassee, FL

Godby kept up its end of the bargain as they moved to 8-0. Lincoln was off as both teams get ready for their 11/8 showdown.

Last: Idle
Next: 11/2 @ Forest (3-5)
15 (16)
Colerain Logo

Colerain (10-0) Cincinnati, OH

Colerain got a bit of a breather last week against Oak Hills, but it's back to the grind against a tough St. Xavier team who the Cardinals beat 31-28 on September 7th. St. Xavier's four losses, including Colerain are to four teams ranked in the Top 20, Colerain, St. Edward, St. Ignatius, and Trinity.

Last: Def Oak Hills 48-29
Next: 11/3 St. Xavier (6-4)

16 (17)
Camden County Logo
Camden County (8-0) Kingsland, GA

New Region, no problem. Camden County has been blowing out teams with regularity, but back to back road trips to Lowndes and Coquitt County will be tougher tests than the Wildcats have ever had to face during the regular season.

Last: Def Brunswick 42-8
Next: 11/2 @ Lowndes (9-0)
17 (15)
Cibolo Steele Football Logo
Steele (8-0) Cibolo, Texas

There wasn't much doubt that Steele would have little trouble with East Central, but it was still a closer game than usual. This week, it's back to blowout city.

Last: Def East Central 28-0
Next: 11/2 @ Carroll (Corpus Christi) 0-8
18 (3)
Louisville Trinity Logo
Trinity (8-1) Louisville, KY

Trinity hadn't looked like the juggernaut it did last season, and they finally were tripped up in a shootout with Archbishop Moeller (OH). Now, it's simply the inevitable as Trinity will waltz to a State Championship in Kentucky. How does a 1-10 team even make the playoffs anyway? Does everyone get a medal?

Last: Lost to Archbishop Moeller (OH) 42-45
: 11/2 Clark (1-10)
19 (21)
Grayson Logo
Grayson (7-1) Loganville, GA

Grayson is peaking at the right time and should have little trouble moving to 8-1 this week against Archer.

Last: Idle
: 11/2 @ Archer (6-2)
20 (19)
Bishop Gorman Logo
Bishop Gorman (8-1) Las Vegas, NV

Bishop Gorman's season was essentially over on September 14th with a loss to Bergen Catholic. No one else on the schedule will keep it within four touchdowns, including the playoffs.

Last: Def Desert Oasis 72-21
: 11/2 Shadow Ridge (4-5)
21 (20)
Don Bosco Logo
Don Bosco Prep (6-1) Ramsey, NJ

Don Bosco pulled off a 20-17 win over a dangerous Bergen Catholic team who already had one Top 50 pelt after beating Bishop Gorman. This week's trip to Hackensack will be a good tune up for its 11-22 showdown with St. Joseph Regional.

Last: Def Bergen Catholic 20-17
Next: 11/2 @ Hackensack (5-2)
22 (31)
American Heritage Logo

American Heritage (8-0) Delray Beach, FL

American Heritage is a strong nominee for performer of the week with its 31-7 win at West Monroe, a powerhouse program in Louisiana. The Stallions should have little trouble dispatching Calvary Christian at home this week.

Last: Def West Monroe (LA) 31-7
Next: 11/2 Calvary Christian (3-4)

23 (22)
Byrnes Logo
Byrnes (9-1) Duncan, SC

Last: Def Dorman 51-41
: 11/2 Wade Hampton (7-5)
24 (23)
Miami Central Logo
Miami Central (5-2) Miami, FL

Northwestern is a good team, but Central is on a different level in Dade County this year. Belen Jesuit is in for a beatdown this week.

Last: Def Northwestern 35-17
: 11/4 @ Belen Jesuit (2-5)

Last: Def Gulliver Prep 49-6
Next: 11/2 @ Monsignor Pace (4-4)
28 (27)
Maine South Logo
Maine South (10-0) Park Ridge, IL

Being a No. 1 seed has its advantages and Main South hammered Lane in the opening round of the state playoffs. Lane should be a better opponent, but Maine South should prevail.

Last: Def Lane 42-7
: 11/2 Conant (7-3)
29 (28)
Hoover Logo
Hoover (9-0) Hoover, AL

A trip to Tuscaloosa County is never easy, and the Bucs slugged out a 28-10 win on the road. Opelika is a good team that visits Hoover this week.

Next: 11/2 El Toro (9-0)
31 (30)

Last: Def Bothell 34-7
Next: Playoffs
32 (32)
Bentonville Logo
Bentonville (9-0) Bentonville, AR

Springdale is a shell of the team that was winning state championships roughly a decade ago, and after playing Bentonville, those days must seem like 100 years ago, not just 10.

Last: Def Springdale 72-0
Next: 11/2 Fayetteville (7-2)
33 (34)
Dallas Skyline Logo
Skyline (7-1) Dallas, TX

Last: Def McDonogh 48-12
Next: 11/2 Playoffs
39 (40)

Next: 11/2 Gardena (7-2)
40 (33)
