Interest Grows for Eaglecrest Athlete

A strong senior season has placed 2013 Eaglecrest athlete Sean Watkins on the recruiting map.

This past season Eaglecrest put together a strong season that saw the Raptors make the playoffs. Much of this success centered on a talented senior class.

One of the players crucial to the success was 2013 athlete Sean Watkins. The 6-3 195 pound WR/S gained All-Conference honors while peaking college interest. Watkins reports an offer from Western State to go with strong interest from CSU-Pueblo. Beyond DIIs, Watkins says Colorado, Colorado State and Wyoming have been in contact. Although a very good receiver, Watkins reports schools are recruiting him as a safety.

The three sport athlete runs 10.9 in the 100 meters and hopes to add 15 pounds of muscle to his long frame this offseason. Along with his athleticism Watkins feels he will bring a college program, "hard work, dedication, heart and a winning attitude." Further he states he would like to improve on, "being faster, stronger and wrapping up ball carriers."

Possessing all the measurables and prerequisite athleticism, Watkins could be a steal late in this recruiting season and will gain increasing attention over the next few weeks.
