Decisions, Decisions

Boasting a very diverse athletic skill set, 2014 QB Brody Westmoreland of ThunderRidge High School should have many college options.

This past season 2014 QB Brody Westmoreland paced his ThunderRidge squad to an 11-2 season on the way to the 5A semifinals. The 6-3 180 pound Westmoreland established himself as one of the top dual threat QBs in Colorado, posting over 2,400 yards on the season and scoring 25 times. Westmoreland does not overwhelm in any aspect of his play, he is just very good in each aspect of his play. As a runner, the long striding Westmoreland is deceptively fast and has very good, finding seams and cuts early. As a passer, Westmoreland is very accurate with good touch on the ball. In the pass game Westmoreland is most impressive on roll outs and boots, creating situations in which the defense must respect his run pass ability.

In regard to football, Westmoreland is receiving initial interest from Colorado State, Wyoming and Columbia. The Columbia interest is in relation to Westmoreland's 3.78 GPA in higher level courses.

Also one of Colorado's top prep baseball players, Westmoreland is gaining significant interest from multiple college baseball programs, including San Diego State, Florida, Pepperdine, Michigan State, Nebraska, Rice, Stanford, Duke and Coastal Carolina.

A skilled athlete with a diverse skill set in multiple sports who also has very strong academics, Westmoreland should see numerous offers come his way soon.
