2013 Regis defensive end Antonio Broadus is reporting he has committed to play football at Indiana State. The defensive end was an All-State performer this season on the strength of 71 tackles, 11 for losses and six sacks.
Broadus, at 6-2 235 pounds, is equally tough versus the run and the pass. Against the run Broadus sets the edge, maintains leverage and consistently defeats blockers. As a pass rusher Broadus gets off the ball quickly and is athletic enough to employ multiple moves to make sacks.
Broadus' commit is an example of Indiana State increasing its presence in Colorado. Former Colorado high school product and University of Colorado defensive back Anthony Perkins is an assistant at Indiana State while Sycamore Head Coach Mark Sanford knows Colorado recruiting from his time at UNLV.
