Duo Dominates

Seniors Sam Martin and Anders Hill move Fairview to the semifinals.

In rematch of one of Colorado prep football's best regular season games, Fairview faced off against Pomona, a squad they defeated on a last second field goal a month ago.

Pomona, behind another 200 yard plus rushing performance from senior Chris Marquez, jumped out to a half time lead. On the night Marquez rushed for 264 yards and three scores putting him over 2,400 yards on the season.

In the second half Fairview asserted itself behind senior QB Anders Hill. Hill, who over the past two weeks has shown his athleticism by running the ball, threw for 220 yards and rushed for 80 yards while accounting for three scores. Efficient in the pass game, Hill went 21 of 25.

Hills favorite target Sam Martin caught ten passes, one for a score, while rushing for another. Martin's night put him atop Colorado's single season receiving list.

With the win the unbeaten Knights will face ThunderRidge in the semifinals after their scrappy win over Grandview.
