5A Playoffs Highlight Many of 2015's Best

This week's 5A semifinal matchups highlight many of 2015's top prospects.

p>Players win games so it makes sense that many of the top football athletes in 5A for the Class of 2015 are playing this week as their teams compete in the semifinals for a shot at the title game.

Valor Christian

Eric Lee – One of the top prospects in Colorado for the class of 2015, Lee's size, physicality and athleticism are everything colleges look for in a corner.

Brian Dawkins Jr.-Dawkins does not have the size of Lee but is productive and has a knack for making plays.

Gabriel Watkins-This LB/FB does it all for Valor, look for his role and profile to increase next year as a senior.

Jordan Bostick-The 6-1 240 pound defensive end combines a great motor and technique to make plays for the state's best defense.

Cherokee Trail

Jason Thompson- The receiver is the epitome of Cherokee Trail based on his athleticism and versatility.

Izaiah Lottie-The DB/WR has established himself as a playmaker during this year's playoff run.

Niko Sangster-Sangster has become a very good playmaker for the productive Cherokee Trail defensive line.

Cameron Smith-Seven of Smith's last eight games he has rushed for over 130 yards. Smith is also a threat in the pass game.


Johnny Feato- Feato has done it all for Fairview this year, working as a receiver, runner and defensive back. Four picks on the season as a defensive back and heir apparent to QB Anders Hill.

Jason Harvey-Harvey has added a run threat to the potent Fairview run game.

Luke Miller-Miller is a great downhill backer who can get after it against the run.


Matt Stanley-Rugged 205 pound back is what the Grizzlies are about. Next season he will be a big part of ThunderRidge's success.

Clay Johnson-The active backer has made plays all over the field for ThunderRidge, highlighted by seven tackles for loss
