Quietly, with little fanfare 2013 Dakota Ridge back Aaron Nelson put together a high school career that was not only impressive but also created attention from multiple college programs. This season Nelson rushed for over 1,500 yards and scored 20 times on the ground while grabbing 14 receptions with four scores while averaging over 21 yards a reception.
Nelson's hard work on the field and in the classroom is paying off as Nelson reports DII interest as well as an Ivy League inquiry. Nelson reports that Yale has asked for film as well as his transcripts.
Regarding DII schools Nelson has received inquiries and earlier this week Western State in Colorado dropped by Dakota Ridge inquiring about Nelson. Other DIIs showing interest are Fort Hays State and Smokey Hills. Northern Colorado in an attempt to not miss out on in state talent have requested tape on Nelson.
Nelson picked up post seasons honors gaining Co-Plains League MVP as well as being named an alternate for the Colorado All-Star game.
