Few defenders in the state had a better season than Zach Peck of Windsor. The 6-3 230 pound defensive end registered 11 sacks, 92 tackles and 19 TFLs for his 9-3 playoff squad. Along with his work on the field Peck was one of 10 players chosen for the U.S. Army Pro Football Hall of Fame Award of Excellence. Peck was recognized for his work with disabled military vets.
Regarding recruiting Peck currently holds an offer from Navy while continuing to hear from Colorado, South Dakota State and Boise State. Peck has a new season highlight that is being sent to Northern Colorado, Montana and Montana State. Peck is working on his schedule in an attempt to make a trip to Annapolis, Maryland to visit the Naval Academy.
Peck, who also plays basketball, will most likely move to outside backer at the college level. Due to his time as a defensive end and his inherent toughness, Peck should be able to stay on the field despite the defensive front being played.
A high energy, tough and disciplined player with all the intangibles, look for Peck to pick up more offers as schools finalize their recruiting boards.
