All-State linebacker Andre Apodaca of Silver Creek was deliberate in his decision regarding where he would play his college football. The son of a coach and brother of a college football player, Apodaca could count on experienced support. After careful consideration and multiple visits, Apodaca decided his college fit was at Azusa-Pacific.
According to Andre's father Mike, the Head Coach at Silver Creek Andre's commit was based on, "the overall fit. Azusa-Pacific was the program where he felt he could have the most success in all areas." Coach Apodaca goes on to cite the staff, academics and campus environment as pieces of the decision.
Silver Creek, 2012's 3A state champ and this year's runner up has a strong contingent of athletes that will sign tomorrow to play college football. Beyond Apodaca offensive lineman Isaac Miller will sign with Colorado, defensive lineman Levi Cecil with sign with Air Force, outside backer Collin Gibbs will sign with Northern Colorado while quarterback ben sjobakken and receiver Zane Lindsey will sign with DII Black Hills State.
