Busy Summer for Lineman

2015 prospect Blake Whitsell of Broomfield High School has extensive travel plans this summer as he puts his game on display at multiple camps.

In an attempt to gain a first college football offer, 2015 Broomfield High School two way lineman Blake Whitsell has a very busy summer planned hitting a camp or unofficial visit on almost every weekend.

Regarding camps, Whitsell plans to hit Colorado, Northwest Elite, Wyoming and South Dakota State.  According to Whitsell he has been told by both Wyoming and South Dakota State that, "good camp performances could bring an offer." Along with camps Whitsell plans on making unofficial visits to South Dakota, TCU, Northern Michigan and DII power Pittsburg State.

Beyond an offer, the ultimate goal for the 6-3 265 pound lineman is a strong season for his Broomfield squad.  Looking at his team Whitsell references a, "solid offensive line and defensive front seven."  This makes sense as Whitsell and teammate Cooper Gardner anchor both fronts.  The team will head to CSU-Pueblo for team camp in preparation for next season.

Whitsell is solid on both sides of the line and projects at the next level as an interior player.  Defensive tackle may be the best fit as Whitsell can put leverage, good hands and ability to make tackles to use.
