1.Austin Conway Overland
2.Peyton Remy Legend
3.Tommy Lazzaro Pine Creek
4.Adison Jones Ignacio
5.Kyle Winkler Chatfield
Breakdown of Class: The 2015 quarterback class is very interesting in that the top two prospects; Conway and Remy will play DI in other sports. Conway, a big play, stat machine is playing basketball at Wyoming while Remy will play baseball at New Mexico. Lazzaro of Pine Creek is a big, athletic kid that can spin the ball. Jones is a small ball stud that is athletic enough to excel in multiple sports. At 6-3 and over 200 pounds, Jones may play another position in college. Colleges may be sleeping on Winkler, he is smart, accurate and sneaky athletic. He could do well in the right offense.
What makes 2015 very interesting is the number of very good tweeners. Rope Ruel of Douglas County, Jonny Feato of Fairview, Ryan Hommel of Rock Canyon, Justin Roberts of Pomona as well as numerous others will play college football; it is just a question of at what level?
Matt Lynch Legacy
Deron Harrell Denver East
Elway Tubbs Vista Ridge
Keegan Wentz Buena Vista
Breakdown of Class: Colorado State got a gem early in Lynch. He is a big kid that can make the throws, the bonus is solid athleticism. Speaking of athleticism, Harrell, a transfer to Denver East, is 6-3 and runs a 4.5 forty. Throughout the summer Harrell has shown increasing arm talent. Tubbs of Vista Ridge puts up monster numbers, a strong junior season will get him on the radar. Wentz, like Jones of Ignacio, is a small school athlete that can do it all.
Dylan McCaffrey Valor Christian
Jovan Tafoya Mullen
Breakdown of Class: Valor’s McCaffrey has talent, an in state offer, size and skill players to work with, now he has to put it all together on the field. I guarantee Tafoya of Mullen will get plenty of chances to make throws in the Mullen offense. Also, this year he has a bevy of receivers to work with.
