Numerous of Colorado’s best hit one of the summer’s last camps at Colorado State today in hopes of pulling an offer prior to the start of the regular season.
One of the players that gained an offer was 2015 Heritage lineman Frank Umu. The 6-5 275 pound two way tackle, who holds an offer from Weber State, now holds an offer from the Rams. Very athletic for his size, Umu is capable and is being recruited to play on either side of the line. According to Umu’s father the Colorado State staff is fighting over whether Umu will play offensive or defensive tackle.
Beyond Colorado State and Weber State, Umu is gaining increasing interest from the University of Colorado and Wyoming. Other schools want to evaluate Umu’s first games of this upcoming season before making an offer. Umu’s plan is to stay patient before making a verbal in expectation that more offers will come.
With two offers now on the table expect Umu to gain more in the next few weeks and into the early part of the season.
