Colorado’s Top Defensive Linemen

Strong group of defensive linemen will have the chance to play at the next level.

The focus of this list is defenders that play primarily with their hand on the ground.  This is a deep list that will see all of these young men play some level of college ball.

1.Frank Umu 6-5 275 Rocky Mountain   DT

Umu recently gained a Colorado State offer and is getting looks as an offensive and defensive tackle.  Umu has a great frame and will get significantly bigger.  Also, the big boy is surprisingly athletic.

2. Blake Whitsell  6-3 265 Broomfield DT

There is nothing fancy about Whitsell, he is just tenacious, technically sound and has a knack for finishing plays.

3. Eddie Gonzales   6-3 265 Regis Jesuit DT

Gonzales uses his hands well and can defeat the double team.

4.Matt Gaiter 6-4 250 Chatfield  DT/DE

Gaiter has the frame to add weight and the skill set to line up as an end and tackle in college.

5. Turner Henington 6-3 245 Valor Christian DT

Like all Valor DLs Henington is coached up using great leverage and hands.  Undersized at 245 pounds, Henington can nonetheless stuff the run and take on double teams.
