Phenoms Week Two

Colorado's best continue to impress as the seasons moves on.

Lewis-Palmer QB Brian Tims rushed for 191 yards and added two scores leading Lewis-Palmer to a 36-18 win over Sand Creek. 

Monarch running back Phillip Bubernak pounded Standley Lake for over 250 rushing yards.  The 5-11 200 pounder also had four scores in the 43-7 victory.

Get used to Lutheran QB James Willis and receiver Josh Clausen making the weekly Phenoms as they put together prolific seasons.  Willis threw for 346 yards and three TDs while Clausen had eight receptions for 145 yards and two scores.  The aerial output was part of a 52-7 win over Frederick. 

Senior Ryan Fitzpatrick of Aspen rushed for 245 yards and two scores as in a 23-14 win against Steamboat Springs. 

Junior Adam Clary of Dakota Ridge threw for 337 yards and three scores as his Eagles defeated Silver Creek 42-22.  Dakota Ridge has started the season 2-0 while Clary has thrown for 575 yards and five scores while completing 64% of his passes. 

Quarterback Clint Sigg of Longmont flirted with perfection completing hitting on 15 of 18 passes for 186 yards and two scores as Longmont defeated Falcon 42-14.

Another quarterback with a big game was Nathan Spinuzzi of Pueblo South.  The senior ran for three scores and threw for another as South defeated Pueblo East 34-20 in the annual Cannon Game. 

Few players in the state of Colorado are having a better start to the season than Eaglecrest QB Elijah Ross.  This weekend, in a 56-33 win against Highlands Ranch, Ross had five touchdowns and 364 yards combined offense.  For the season Ross has 10 scores and 744 yards of total offense. 

Trevonte Tasco of Denver South, the 5-9 240 pound battering ram is punishing Colorado defenses for his 2-0 Rebel squad.  Yesterday against Montbello, Tasco rushed for 217 yards and two scores, averaging over 12 yards a carry.
