Poole Gaining Interest

2014 Grandview SS/OLB Keelan Poole's game is gaining college attention.

In the very competitive Colorado 5A division Grandview stands undefeated.  Much of this success is based on a very aggressive defense that is staffed by talented, high impact players.  One of the most productive standouts for the Wolves is versatile senior Keelan Poole

At 6-2 200 pounds and reporting 4.49 forty, Poole lines up everywhere for his Wolves.  Listed as a strong safety, Poole rushes off the edge, can drop into coverage and play on the inside.  Poole is also a very good special teams’ player, especially strong as a gunner on punt team.  A look at Poole’s game shows an athlete that plays fast and finishes in space.  Due to his 6-2 size and good speed Poole’s game transfers nicely to the next level.  Further, Poole could potentially play safety or outside backer in college.

This past week Poole had potentially his best game of the season against talented rival Cherry Creek.  In a 24-6 victory Poole was all over the field posting five sacks, two hurries and five tackles.  Poole’s game has not gone unnoticed and he is receiving attention from Arizona, Washington, Wyoming, Colorado, Montana, San Jose State and UNLV.  Poole has yet to set up visits and is taking a team first approach to his recruitment.

Poole and his squad will need another strong defensive performance this week as they take on a scary offensive team in Overland paced by Austin Conway, Josh Wright and Kevin Prosser.
