Phenoms Week 8

With playoffs looming, every game and big performance is key.

Thursday night Dakota Ridge junior back Jeremy Lujan ran for 225 yards and four touchdowns by half as the Eagles defeated Kennedy 44-0. 

Chuk Obinnah was a huge part of Grandview’s Thursday night’s 53-13 win over Overland.  The big back punished the Trailblazers rushing for 261 yards and three scores on only 13 carries. On the defensive side of the ball Grandview strong safety Cameron Knight had three interceptions.  Currently Grandview stands 8-0.

Pine Creek senior RB Josh Odom set the pace early scoring four times in the first half as his Eagles took it to Durango 56-0.  Odom now has 22 rush touchdowns on the season. 

Senior Legacy linebacker Troy Fossett set a school record registering 20 tackles in a hard fought 28-21 win over Monarch Friday night. 

In a 21-35 loss to Doherty, senior Chaparral receiver Cole Lehman had 14 receptions and three touchdowns. 

Senior running back Jamil Bond of Lutheran averaged 14 yards a carry on the way to 156 rush yards and three scores in a 55-28 victory over Vista Peak Prep.

In a loss to Boulder senior Jerrell Nettles of Montbello rushed for 301 yards and two scores.  On the winning side of the game Boulder junior T.J. Jones rushed for 246 yards.

Senior Kylar Mai rushed for 268 yards and three scores in a 53-21 win over Sedgwick County.

Brenden Fulton of Northridge hit 19-23 passes for 293 yards and three TDs in a great 37-33 win over Mead. Fulton’s favorite target that night and all season Jay Frye averaged 20 yards a catch and had two scores.

Trevonte Tasco had his fourth 200 plus yard rush game of the season Thursday against George Washington.  In the win Tasco had four scores. 

Cherry Creek’s running back duo of Milo Hall and D.J. Luke combined for over 250 rush yards and three scores in a big win over Valor Christian Friday night.
