Underclassmen All-State Defense

Colorado boasts a very talented group of young defenders at every position.

Defensive Line

Carlo Kemp 6-3 255 Fairview JR

Toby McBride 6-3 235 Fort Morgan JR

Isiah Pannunzio 6-2 210 Pueblo South JR

Jack Wibbels 6-1 195 Pine Creek JR

I cheated in that each of these linemen are edge players, but their athleticism and impact are tough to overlook.  Kemp did not dominate on D this year like last year, but what other player in the state of Colorado could play defensive line, offensive tackle and H-back?  Sophomores Jonathan Van Diest(Cherry Creek) and Corte Tapia(Windsor) also had strong season and are worthy of recognition.

Patrick Moody 6-2 212 Chaparral SO

Santino Marchiol 6-2 225 Cherry Creek SO

Jo Jo Domann 6-0 205 Pine Creek JR

These linebackers are solid!  Marchiol and Domann already hold multiple college offers, while Moody is a tackling machine.  Pueblo East junior Bruno DeRose also had a very good season.

Defensive Back

Michael Ranson 6-1 185 Pueblo Central  JR

Cooper Roothe 5-10 160 Longmont JR

Isaiah Fields 5-9 165 Falcon JR

Christian Cumber 6-0 180 Mullen

Cumber, who holds an offer from Colorado, highlights this list.  Roothe was one of the state’s leaders in interceptions. Fields is a slick cover corner that is surprisingly physical against the run.  Ranson is a great two way athlete that shines on D due to his instincts.
