There is much to like about 2016 Legacy quarterback prospect Matt Lynch. At 6-5 200 pounds Lynch is athletic and has the arm to make all the throws necessary for the college game. Beyond his measurables and upside Lynch is productive on the field as a runner and thrower. Due to this Lynch gained an offer and made an early commit to Colorado State.
Once Coach McElwain made his jump to the University of Florida, Lynch made the decision to reopen his recruitment and is in the process of putting his game on display. Lynch just returned from San Antonio where he competed in the Army All-American combine. Speaking about the combine Lynch says, “It was a great experience and I thought I did very well and so did everyone else. I felt like I competed with the top quarterbacks in the nation.”
Beyond combines Lynch also plans to camp at Colorado State, Colorado, Wyoming and Washington this off-season. Lynch is not sure of his status with Colorado State but Coach Bobo wants him to come up to Fort Collins for a basketball game and the chance to “get to know him.”
This off-season Lynch has the goal of “putting on weight and getting quick.” As a thrower Lynch says he is working to, “get the ball out on time and getting in synch with my returning receivers.”
Lynch is too good to stay in limbo for much longer. Boasting great size, athleticism and upside, Lynch will see more offers come his way soon.
