There is never a shortage of Valor football players taking their game to the next level and already multiple Eagles have made their verbals. The latest of this group is talented 2015 TE/OLB Sebastian Sock.
The 6-5 235 pound Sock was dinged up and only played in three games this season, but his versatility, size, upside and intangibles still gained Sock significant recruiting attention. Sock received his first offer in September from the University of San Diego and was gaining looks from Ivy and Patriot League schools as well as Northern Colorado, North Dakota and Wyoming.
Today, staying loyal to the school of his first offer, Sock made a verbal commit to the University of San Diego. Solid on both sides of the ball Sock reports he will play tight end for USD. Regarding his commit Sock stated, “After I took my official and met all the coaches and players and saw campus, I just felt like I fit in there. That along with a chance to play early for a team who consistently wins their conference, I was very excited about playing there”
Sock, a strong student and Student Body President at Valor Christian, fits the mold for a San Diego athlete and should be able to handle the academic rigors. Regarding football, Sock’s size and athleticism make him a prospect whose best football is in front of him.
