For the second time in as many days the University of San Diego has received a verbal commitment from one of Colorado's top student athletes. Yesterday 2015 Valor tight end Sebastian Sock reported to PrepColorado that he would play for the Toreros. Today Longmont two way lineman Tanner Kai Wilkey is reporting that he has also decided to play his college football at the University of San Diego.
Wilkey, who is currently on his official in San Diego, talked about his reasons for the commit stating, “the biggest keys were a great education, location, and a winning tradition.”
Regarding the transition to college football Wilkey believes he brings, “leadership and I think I can make an impact pretty early on the team here.” Wilkey, who will play offensive line for the Toreros says he needs to work on, “foot speed and technique” in preparation of the college game.
