1st Offer for 2016 Regis DT

2016 Regis Jesuit defensive tackle Ace Escobedo gains the first of what will be multiple offers.

2016 Regis Jesuit High School defensive tackle Ace Escobedo has established himself as one of Colorado’s top interior defenders using a combination of strengths, smarts and motor to anchor what is traditionally a very good Raider D.

Colleges, especially at the mid-major level have taken notice and 6-3 270 pound run stuffer now reports a first offer with the Air Force Falcons now on board.  Escobedo says Air Force hinted at an offer when he attended the Falcons’ Junior Day and Tuesday night they made it official.

Beyond Air Force Escobedo is hearing from Colorado, Wyoming, Montana, Lehigh, Harvard, Penn and Yale, as well as DIIs Colorado School of Mines and CSU-Pueblo.

Escobedo is getting after it in the weight room this offseason and is putting on good weight making the talented defender, who runs the 40 in 4.96, even more impressive on the field.  Great against the run, Escobedo plays with good leverage and has the ability to take on and defeat double teams.  Escobedo can also push the pocket and has the ability to get after the passer from the inside as evidenced by his five sacks this season.

Now holding an offer, look for Escobedo to pick up more offers in the near future.
