Big Week for Martin

2016 Strasburg quarterback picks up his first offer.

2016 Strasburg quarterback Mitchell Martin had a big week picking up a first offer and hitting Jr Day at Colorado State.  The big armed, athletic, small ball QB is garnering attention from mid-majors and DIIs.

This week’s first offer came from the University of Sioux Falls.  Regarding the offer Mitchell says, “It is rewarding.  I worked my tail off and have really been blessed with this opportunity.  Coach Stugart made me feel right at home.”  Stugart, the Cougars Head Coach, is originally from Colorado and as such he and his staff have, over the past few years, have hit and continue to hit Colorado hard for talent.

From Sioux Falls, Martin headed straight back to Colorado for Junior Day at Colorado State. While in Fort Collins, Martin met up with many of his 7on7 teammates including Dante Sparaco of Glenwood Springs and Marcus McElroy of Mullen.

The offer has not slowed Martin’s hard work and in fact he continues to push himself running track, working with a trainer and playing with Team Weapon X 7on7.  All of this work is focused on leading his team with Martin stating, “I'm ready for next fall to get here!”

Martin and his parents are honing in on his spring and summer camp schedule with definite stops at Colorado, Colorado State and Sioux Falls.  Martin will also compete at Elite 11 in Oregon.

Martin says he is also hearing from Montana and South Dakota State and there is a strong chance that more offers are in the future for this up and coming QB.
