Offer for Overland’s Halliburton

Althetic 2016 Overland safety Alijah Halliburton picks up Mountain West offer.

The University of Wyoming loves the athletes of Aurora Overland High School.  2015 All-Everything performer, one of Colorado’s best in both football and basketball, Austin Conway, will play point guard for the Cowboys and 2015 Overland outside backer Kevin Prosser is heading to Laramie to play football for the Cowboys this fall.  Potentially adding to this list is 2016 Overland defensive back Alijah Halliburton.  Scout’s Southwest Recruiting Analyst Jason Jewell is reporting the 6-2 180 defensive back today gained an offer from the University of Wyoming.

A three sport athlete, Halliburton was a contributing member of Overland’s state champ basketball squad and is also participating in track.  A long and athletic strong safety, Halliburton is equally comfortable in the box or in coverage.  In the Overland defense Halliburton lines up in multiple spots and makes plays in each.

Halliburton’s size and athleticism transfer nicely to the next level.  Look for Halliburton to contribute as a special teams’ performer early in his career eventually putting on size and strength and manning a safety spot for the Cowboys.  Further, over the next few weeks and months, look for Halliburton’s offer sheet to grow.
