The recruiting odyssey of 2016 Legacy High School quarterback Matt Lynch has been interesting. An early commit to Colorado State, Lynch reopened his recruitment after former Ram Head Coach Jim McElwain headed to Florida for the Gator job.
Once he opened up his recruitment Lynch was courted by Colorado, Colorado State, Kansas, Wyoming and Washington. Today, while on an unofficial visit to UCLA, Lynch received an offer and committed to the Bruins.
Lynch said the offer came from UCLA quarterback coach Taylor Mazzone. Regarding the offer and commit Lynch was very excited stating, “Everything stood out about UCLA!” Lynch, an athletic 6-5 has a very good arm and is also enough of a runner to keep defenses honest. Lynch’s game is a very good fit for the UCLA offense and he has the talent to, at some point compete for the Bruins QB spot.
