2017 Valor Christian quarterback Dylan McCaffrey continues to add to his list, reporting tonight that Rutgers has made an offer. Tonight’s offer is McCaffrey’s eighth total offer and third from the Big 10, with Michigan and Penn State having already offered the talented young quarterback. Beyond the Big 10, McCaffrey holds offers from Duke, Colorado, Colorado State, UCLA and Virginia.
The 6-4 2017 prospect is a pro style quarterback that helped take his squad to the state title game this past season. Beyond his ability to make throws, McCaffrey has a feel for the game and is athletic enough to make plays as a runner. The grandson of an Olympian, son of an NFLer and brother to two current DI players, McCaffrey has a pedigree like few others and knows what it takes to compete at the next level. Further, McCaffrey progressed as a passer this season and should, over the next two years, become one of the top throwers in the nation.
Due to his size, ability to throw, athleticism and understanding of the game, McCaffrey’s already impressive offer sheet will become substantial over the next two seasons.
