Valor Christian QB Dylan McCaffrey is reporting he has received an offer from Northwestern University. The 2017 prospect adds the Wildcats to a list that includes in states Colorado and Colorado State as well as Michigan, Penn State, UCLA, Virginia, Washington, Mizzou, Rutgers and Duke.
The pro style QB, who is athletic enough to keep Ds honest regarding his running, helped guide his Valor squad to the state title game where the Eagles lost to Cherry Creek in a thriller. McCaffrey threw for nearly 2,400 yards to go with 22 touchdowns against only six interceptions. Further, McCaffrey returns two of his top receivers in Booker Schelhaas and Ben Waters.
Playing for one of Colorado’s most high profile programs and putting up big numbers, there is little doubt McCaffrey will add to his offer sheet throughout this summer and the upcoming season. One offer that may still be pending is from Stanford. Dylan’s older brother Christian is a running back for the Cardinal and his father Ed also played for Stanford.
