Regis DT Picks Up New Ivy Offer

2016 Regis DT Ace Escobedo picks up another Ivy offer.

Few players in the state of Colorado mix athletics and academics as well as 2016 Regis Jesuit defensive tackle Ace Escobedo.  On the field the 6-3 270 pound defender is a tenacious technician who combines good hands, leverage and strength with a high motor.  In the classroom Escobedo carries a 3.85 cumulative GPA and posted a 4.1 this past semester while taking a rigorous AP curriculum.  Most recently Escobedo scored a 28 on his ACT.

Escobedo’s combination of smarts and football skills has attracted offers from Air Force and Dartmouth and today Escobedo is reporting he has gained an offer from Penn.  The Quakers are very familiar with Regis having offered and gained the talents of 2015 Regis offensive lineman Jack Maly.  Beyond the offers from Air Force, Dartmouth and Penn Escobedo also holds offers from South Dakota and Northern Colorado.  Escobedo also reports interest from Harvard, Princeton, Yale and Army along with Montana.

Of late Escobedo just finished up a two week padded camp with his Raider squad and starting Monday Regis starts team lifting and conditioning.  Individually Escobedo may hit camps at Harvard, Yale, Montana, Princeton, and possibly Penn before the summer ends.

Bottom line Escobedo is a smart hardnosed player that brings great academics to the table.  This combination is tough to pass on and as such his offer list will continue to grow.
