After two straight state titles there is little doubt that Colorado Springs Pine Creek will be the favorite in 4A football this upcoming season, but there were numerous graduates from last year’s champs and new players will have to step up. One such player is 2017 returning starter, center, Tanner Toussaint.
The 6-1 275 pound Toussaint is an old school run blocking center who is at his best fighting in the phone booth. Last season Toussaint’s work on the line helped Pine Creek rush for over 4,100 yards on the way to nearly 6,000 yards of offense in an undefeated season.
Regarding recruiting Toussaint says Montana, Northern Arizona and Colorado School of Mines are in contact. Of this group Toussaint feels Montana is showing the most interest. Regarding camps this summer
Toussaint was at the Northwest Elite in Seattle earlier this month, followed by School of Mines this past weekend. Right now Toussaint is camping at Wyoming.
The big center, only a junior, is now one of Pine Creek’s most experienced players and will, on such a high profile team, continue to gain increasing college attention.
