Recruiting News & Notes

Colorado's top prospects finish up camps as they start to focus on team activities.

6-1 210 Overland linebacker Taylor  Marshall has been busy this summer attending Wyoming’s padded camp.  He also attended Colorado State’s camp at Denver South.  Marshall says he is hearing consistently from Western State and the University of North Dakota.

2016 Heritage defensive tackle Kenton Hewitt, a member of what will be a very good Eagle defensive front, camped this summer at the University of Montana and is a big fan of the Griz, but is also hearing from Yale, Drake, Air Force, CSU-Pueblo and Augsburg.  Hewitt, a big, old school, run stuffer, has great grades and has the academics for the schools on his list.

Senior Cherry Creek quarterback Joe Caplis has hit camps at the University of Arizona, the University of San Diego and Yale.  Caplis feels an offer is close and it looks like most colleges want to see how the early part of his early season goes before making an offer.

2016 Valor Christian tight end Booker Schelhass, who holds an offer from Colorado Schools of Mines reports he is also hearing from Ivy schools, North Dakota and Air Force.

2016 Evergreen quarterback Dylan Reifeis has been very busy this summer hitting numerous camps at schools such as Nebraska Kearney, Colorado Mesa, Adams State, Colorado State. Northern Arizona, Fort Lewis, Northern Colorado and Wyoming.  His performance at Kearney gained the strong armed QB his first offer.  Later this month Reifeis will camp at CSU-Pueblo.

2016 Cherry Creek wideout Ammon Johnson will camp at Arizona State this week.

Watched film of Cherry Creek LB/SS Steven O’Malley, the 6-0 230 pounder will flat out hit you!

Logan Paulson, 2016 tight end from Legacy, has been busy over the past few weeks hitting the Nike Combine in Oregon.  While in the northwest he also hit the Oregon State for the Friday Night Lights camp.  Logan also had a strong outing at Wyoming where he worked as a tight end, but also impressed the  Cowboy staff with his long snapping.  Later this month Paulson will hit the specialist camp at Colorado State.
