In State for McBride

2016 Fort Morgan athlete Toby McBride adds another in state to his offers.

In late April Fort Morgan FB/DE Toby McBride had yet to gain an offer but as the summer camp circuit hit, McBride’s skill set of size, skill, smarts and toughness were too much to pass on as offers came.  First, Air Force and Wyoming offered and yesterday Colorado State joined in on the 6-3 240 pounder.

The offer came as McBride was finishing up a two day camp with the Rams. Originally Colorado State liked McBride as a fullback but now they want him to play defensive end.  Regarding the Rams McBride had great things to say about the new Colorado State staff stating, “Yeah I have got to talk to their whole staff 1 on 1 they are all great. Bobo is a great fit for CSU much better than McElwain was.”

Colorado State was the last camp for McBride as he now gets ready for the season with his Fort Morgan squad.  McBride has not honed in on a timeline for a decision but he did say Wyoming wants him to decide by the end of the summer.

Fort Morgan starts practice August 17th and the versatile McBride will have plenty of opportunities to put his game on display and will, most likely, gain more offers.  McBride a multi time state champ in wrestling, who also carries a 3.60 GPA, has a skill set that is very attractive and will be productive at the next level.
