McBride Commits

2016 Fort Morgan athlete Toby McBride makes commit.

Today, while in Fort Collins, 2016 Fort Morgan athlete Toby McBride made his commit to Colorado State.  McBride, a 6-3 245 pound DE/FB went into the summer without any offers and then, as he camped, picked up three offers starting with Air Force, Wyoming and Colorado State.

Citing a great, “family atmosphere” and a strong comfort level with the Colorado State staff and football program McBride opted for the Rams over the Cowboys and Falcons.  Early this month, while camping at Colorado State McBride raved about new Ram Head Coach Mike Bobo and what a “great fit” he was for Colorado State.

Early in his recruitment schools were looking at McBride on both sides of the ball based on need, but his performances this summer cemented him as a defensive lineman.  The big framed, two time state wrestling champ is a defensive end, but is athletic enough and will be big enough to play in multiple fronts.
