All-Stater JoJo Domann made an offseason commit to the University of Nebraska with the goal of not only taking his game to Lincoln but also getting ready to help his Pine Creek squad win a third straight state title. Talking about his team and their upcoming season, which is coming fast with a Zero Week game against Pueblo Centennial, Domann says, “We're looking really good and are excited for this upcoming season!”
During his career Domann has done it all for Pine Creek making big plays at crucial times on both sides of the ball. This year will be much the same, but now a senior, Domann will take an even greater leadership role. Talking about his role for Pine Creek Domann says, “It has changed in the aspect of leadership and reliability. I need to keep the team focused and on track, making sure everybody is staying focused and hungry.
Despite the fact he is going to Nebraska to play defense, Domann is one of the most talented offensive players in Colorado. With multiple offensive performers graduated from last year’s team, Domann may have a greater role on the offensive side of the ball, “I will get more touches and be put into a position to make more plays which means I have to be reliable and make those plays.” Domann is confident in his offense talking about multiple players that he believes will have strong seasons, “We have a bunch of key guys stepping up that are going to be a big part of our team’s success this year.” Specifically JoJo mentions his younger brother Brock, a quarterback, running backs Gabe Zarkovacki and D’Andre Toliver as well as receiver Pete Isais.
Domann will make it to multiple games in Lincoln going up for the opener against BYU and then later the giant Big 10 showdown with Michigan State. As excited as he is to be a Husker the talented senior is 100% focused on Pine Creek and the season at hand
