Regis DT Commits

2016 Regis Jesuit defensive tackle will take his game to the Ivy League.

2016 Regis Jesuit defensive tackle Ace Escobedo is reporting that he will play his college football at Penn. Penn is a great fit for the 6-3 270 pound All-State defensive tackle who is every bit as talented in the classroom as he is on the field.  Regarding the Penn commit Escobedo says, “I really love the coaching staff and felt at home when I visited there, and the business school is something I couldn't turn down.”

From the start of his recruitment Escobedo has focused on finding a balance between football and strong academics and Penn was it.  A visit to spring ball earlier this year as well as a trip in July was key to the verbal.

Escobedo will join his former Regis teammate offensive tackle Jack Maly on the Quaker squad.  Maly, who is prepping for his initial season at Penn, was one of the first to text and congratulate Escobedo on the commit.

The hardnosed, smart and productive defensive lineman can now concentrate on helping get Regis to playoffs as the Raiders start one of Colorado’s toughest schedules which kickoffs September 4th against defending state champs Cherry Creek.
