Few schools and few coaches give quarterbacks more to do than Washington State and Head Coach Mike Leach. Last season quarterbacks under Leach threw nearly 800 times hitting receivers all over the field as 11 players had double digit catches.
Looking for a talent that is polished and can make the throws Leach has offered 2017 Valor Christian prospect Dylan McCaffrey. McCaffrey, who holds more than a dozen offers including the likes of Michigan, UCLA and Penn State is one of the nation’s top QB prospects.
McCaffrey is having a solid junior campaign having thrown for over 900 yards this season while completing over 62% of his passes. Most impressive McCaffrey has thrown only two interceptions on 104 attempts.
So far Valor, playing a very tough schedule, is 2-2 as they go full tilt into conference play continuing five straight game away from home. When the Eagles return to their home field they will face defending state champs Cherry Creek. Last year in a very exciting championship Cherry Creek defeated Valor 25-24 breaking a streak of five straight titles for Valor Christian.
