Unbeaten Longmont, sent a message in 4A playoffs, taking it to Pueblo South Friday night 58-21. Pacing the Trojans was senior athlete Conlan Berger, who had six total scores, rushing for four, catching a pass and returning a kick.
Also in 4A playoffs, Loveland upset Vista Ridge with a 30-14 win. Key to moving on for the Indians was the play of quarterback Ayden Eberhardt, who had four combined scores, rushing for two and throwing for two.
Adding to the upsets in 4A, Palmer Ridge took out Dakota Ridge behind four scores from quarterback Isiah Sanders. In the loss senior All-Stater Jeremy Lujan of the Eagles scored three times.
Junior Bryson Torres of Pueblo East had four rush TDs as his squad defeated Lewis Palmer 49-10.
Grandview running back Hayden Blubaugh had four rush TDs as his Wolves took it to Mountain Vista 49-20. Blubaugh, now over 2,000 yards put 256 yards on the Eagles. The victory sets up a great matchup next week with Pomona.
Senior QB Jake Lowry of Columbine scored three times and rushed for 163 yards helping the Rebels move on and stay unbeaten. Columbine next takes on Regis.
Freshman, yes freshman, Joshia Davis of Valor, had his best game of the season rushing for 120 yards and a score and catching seven passes for 85 yards as his Eagles took care of Chaparral.
Senior quarterback Austin Bervig of the Classical Academy of Colorado Springs rushed for 160 yards and threw for 106 yards leading his Titans over Mead 48-38.
Four year starting QB Keegan Wentz of unbeaten Buena Vista, threw for a score and rushed for two scores as his Demons dominated Wiggins this past weekend.
Fort Morgan junior RB Tate Kembel rushed for three scores and caught a TD pass in a win over Pueblo County.
Senior Will McKissick of Kent Denver put in the work, rushing 31 times for 210 yards and four scores in a victory over Eaton. Over the past two games McKissick has rushed for nearly 450 yards and scored nine times.
