2016 DB Elijah Reed has visit set for South Dakota

Impressive DB Awaits Offer

2016 Rangeview DB/WR Elijah Reed is one of the best two way players in Colorado.  Due to his 6-3 size, Reed creates matchup problems as a receiver and on defense has the length to cover and play in the box. Offensively, Reed had 25 catches and seven scores this season, while on defense he had an interceptions and six passes defended to go with 58 tackles.

Reed reports colleges want him to play defensive back where he can put his incredible length to work in coverage as a safety.  Reed’s game has gained interest from multiple colleges and the talented defender reports he will take official visits to CSU-Pueblo, Fort Hay’s State and the University of South Dakota.  He has yet to gain an offer from these schools but says, “They are going to make an offer when I visit.”

Beyond his upcoming visits, Reed is focused on his 11-0 #1 ranked Rangeview basketball team stating, “I’m playing really well, rebounding and defense are my main focus.”  Reed is being modest as he is currently scoring 16.4 points a game doing much more than rebounding and defense.

At the next level Reed’s upside is impressive.  His size and length make him special as does his ability to play in the box and over the top.  As Reed gains weight and gets quicker, the sky is the limit for the impressive athlete.
