2016 Rangeview athlete Elijah Reed, one of the state’s most versatile multi-sport performers, announced today he will play his college football for the South Dakota Coyotes.
Reed, who was on his official visit to the Yotes when he made his decision stated, “The way they tutor is organized and great, and a player graduating from here, is number one to the coaches. Which is also important for me!”
Reed, who will play defensive back in college, is excited to play for new Head Coach Bob Nielson saying, “It is a place I can see myself living. Also, Coach Nelson will turn the football program around and I want to be a part of that team!”
Reed, who is having a great basketball season for his unbeaten #1 ranked Rangeview squad, will this spring work hard in preparation for college football. Reed remarked, regarding his offseason work, “I want to continue working on my foot work and speed. Also, keep attacking these weights!”
At a very long 6-3, Reed is an intriguing athlete that is very comfortable in and out of the box as a defender. Due to his great size and athleticism, South Dakota gained a steal that could become and contributor and eventual starter.
