The 2016 heir to the Columbine offensive lineman tradition, JT Gentry, reports that while on his vist this weeknd made his commit to BYU. The 6-4 275 pound lineman, who gained numerous post season honors for his play this season, was key to the always strong Rebel run game.
Gentry’s commit to his “dream school” gained momentum over the past two weeks as the Cougars came in for a home visit followed by Gentry’s visit and commit. Gentry, a great run blocker, moved around the Columbine offensive line to pave the way for multiple runners including QB Jake Lowry and Mikey Griebel, will get looks as a guard and tackle for BYU.
Beyond his play on the field, BYU gains a great student. Gentry carries an A average and scored a 30 on the ACT. Gentry’s play and grades garnered Ivy interest and he held offers from, San Diego, School of Mines and Air Force.
