Trey McBride gains Colorado State offer.

McBride Gains In State

2018 Fort Morgan athlete Trey McBride is reporting he has gained his first DI offer.  McBride, a 6-4 220 pound athlete, says Colorado State had made an offer.  This past season McBride did it all for Fort Morgan, averaging over 20 yards a reception with nine TDs.  Defensively McBride was a force totaling 84 total stops, 23 of which were TFLs also adding four interceptions.

Due to his athleticism McBride is not sure what position the Rams would like him to play stating, “They are recruiting me for outside backer but they said they can also see me playing some tight end so we will just have to see when it gets closer.”  Right now McBride is focused on basketball, scoring over 16 points a game for his squad.

Only a sophomore, McBride’s combination of size and athleticism will make his recruitment very interesting and multiple offers are in his future. Trey’s older brother Toby, a PrepColorado All-Stater was an early 2016 commit to the Rams and will play defensive line for Colorado State.  Regarding the potential of playing college ball with Toby, McBride says, “Yeah so it would be cool to play with him but I'll wait to see my offers.”

McBride is scary with a great frame and very good athleticism.  It is very easy to see McBride in the 250 pound range by his senior year.  Further, McBride has front versatility and is equally comfortable with his hand on the ground or from a two point.  He can rush the passer, set the edge and drop into coverage.   Before this process is over McBride will hit double digit offers.
