There are few linemen more experienced than 2017 Pine Creek center Tanner Toussaint. The 6-2 275 pound lineman has started for over two years for an Eagle squad that has won two state titles in three seasons.
Toussaint, due to his experience and hard work, is a very good technician from his center position. He plays with great leverage, uses his hands well and is always where he needs to be. Due to his size, Toussaint is a tough run blocker and he has good enough feet to be solid as a pass blocker. Also, the student, with a 4.4 GPA, is smart enough to make all the line calls at the high school and later college level.
Because of his play and great grades, Toussaint has gained significant Ivy League attention stating, “Just about every Ivy League school is in contact now. I have emails from Dartmouth and Columbia, and contact from Yale, Cornell, Penn, and I got invited to junior day at Princeton.”
Beyond the Ivy schools Toussaint is hearing from North Dakota, South Dakota, Colorado State, Utah State and Colorado School of Mines.
Due to the graduation of JoJo Domann, Jack Wibbels and multiple other key seniors, Toussaint will have to take an even greater leadership role. Realizing this Toussaint says, “I pride myself as being a vocal leader on the field and in the weight room but also leading by example. Also as the center I feel the need to be a great leader and stay calm in tough situations and as a three year starter I have the experience and poise to be a leader.”
With his solid game, smarts, experience and love of the game, Toussaint is a prospect to watch, with the game to eventually start for the right college program.
