2017 Chatfield athlete Dalton Keene continues to add to his impressive offer sheet, this past weekend picking up an offer from Syracuse University. The Orange offer is in addition to offers from Colorado State, Virginia Tech, Iowa State and Nebraska. According to Keene’s father, the Syracuse offers was, “kind of out of the blue.” The elder Keene reports Syracuse likes the very versatile Dalton as an H-back.
The 6-5 225 pound Keene is a powerful athlete that has the frame coveted by DIs. Keene, last year, lined up at least five positions, showing his athleticism and diverse skill set. No matter the spot, Keene brings motor to the position. Watching Keene, he is very solid as a middle backer, getting downhill and making plays. Also, due to his size, it is easy to see him as a DE/OLB with front flexibility. Further, on offense he is an intriguing H-back that can line up in multiple sports, blocking, running and catching.
The hot prospect has a busy spring. This weekend he hits Colorado State, followed in a couple of weeks with a trip to Nebraska and a June stop at Virginia Tech. Also, in May Oregon plans to make a stop in Colorado to check out Keene. Also, Keene is hearing from Stanford and the University of Arizona.
