Septemeber 1st was the first day a player from the class of 2010 could be officially offered and it didn't take long for the University of Colorado to go after one local product.
The Buffs offered Littleton (CO) Columbine linebacker Danny Spond this evening.
Spond tells Scout.com, "I just wanted to let you know that CU offered me today on the phone. I talked with Coach Dan Hawkins." He adds, "CU has always been a great school and my hometown favorite. Hearing about it was so exciting."
Spond plays QB and LB for the Rebels but most are recruiting him as a linebacker. "They didn't tell me what position though."
Spond also holds an early verbal offer from Wyoming.
