One of the programs Leggett has an interest in is The Ohio State University. The south Florida native is looking not only at the big three instate, but also the Big Ten Champions. "Ohio State is one of the biggest programs out there and they got a couple of people in the NFL. They're known for good defensive backs," Leggett quoted.
The talent on a roster doesn't scare AJ, who looks at it as more of a challenge instead.
"I think I can make an impact my freshman year it'll be hard work but that's a given. My strengths are my confidence and being physical but I'm going to work more on my speed this offseason," he quoted.
Leggett is hoping for an OSU offer, but so far it's been mostly quite from the Buckeyes.
"I haven't really heard much from them, but it's early on. A good relationship with the coaches is important to me and I'm looking forward to talking with them."
He's still not sure on how he'll handle the recruiting process and looks to see how it goes this summer.
"It depends on how things go. If it's going good early then I will commit and focus on my season. OSU will definitely be one of my visits. I have never been up there but I really want to see The Shoe," Leggett continued.
So far in the early recruiting season he's been hearing from some major football powers. "The other schools I'm hearing from are Miami, Florida, Florida State, Ole Miss, South Carolina, North Carolina, FIU, Tennessee, and UCLA. I don't have a top five yet, because I'm still getting offers in," he finished.
