Immokalee is on the Rise

Immokalee will be playing 5A in the new 1A-8A re-classification and drew a district with just two other teams in it(Golden Gate and Lely). There is young talent all over the place on this team and next year might be where they put it all together and go on a run. Here is a look at their top prospects.

Only one senior is on the D-1 radar and that is LB Jordan Alce. The 6'1 MLB has continued to improve athletically as he has gained weight. He is an instinctive player with a lot of upside remaining. A strong senior season will bring plenty of interest.

Jackson is a play-maker at WR
Geoff Vogt,

The 2013 class could put as many as 6-7 players into the D-1 ranks. At 6'1, 280+ legit, Deadrin Senat has the look and ability to be one of the state's top DTs, perhaps the best. Nimble big fella who is a workhorse in the weight room. He is getting nothing but better from here on out.

Quarterback Tshumbi Johnson(1,600 yards passing) will likely play CB in college. He gets the job done at QB because he is one of the area's premier athletes, his skill set lends itself to CB or maybe S/WR down the road. He'll make an impact on punt returns. Nothing to do but sit back and watch him develop. His brother, Dee Johnson, is just a freshmen(2014), but the RB/LB has everything you look for in a young player.

At WR, Xavier Richardson(6'3- 2013) and J.C. Jackson(2014) are both BCS prospects. Richardson has plus hands and handles himself like a veteran, he understands the WR position. He had a good sophomore season(500+ yards) and just needs to fill out while working on his speed. Jackson is an explosive player with a thick, strong build. He has big play ability and really can be as good as he wants down the road. Jackson will get to play some CB too, just as much upside there long-term. He can be a great kickoff returner.

Jacky Marcellus will be one of the RBs, but he should develop into a prospect that could play multiple positions. Good overall package of size, speed, quickness and can catch the football like a wide-out.

Mackensie Alexander and Mackenro Alexander are a pair of 2013 DBs. Both have legit D-1 size already. This pair can match-up with bigger WRs and bring some physicality to the defensive backfield.

Kerby Henry is a 2013 DT who will team with Senat to form a tremendous combination. Like Senat, he will also play OT and has natural size in a young body. He needs to re-shape a bit, but there are tools here and he should generate interest in the future.

2014 WR Jimmy Bayes is another 6'3 athlete. He looks to be behind those mentioned above, but players with his size and athleticism eventually make a name for themselves. 2013 WR/S Xavier Griffin is yet impressive athlete.
