FLORIDAKIDS.us CLASS OF 2005 RECRUITING EVALUATION:

While you can find out just so much about watching film on an athlete or talking to him on the phone, there is a major advantage to seeing the athlete live. I have been fortunate to see more high school football players in person in the state of Florida than any other source.

What I will do is use my 30 plus years of evaluating talent on the football field to give up a complete opinion on the top football players in the Class of 2005.

I hope you enjoy this rare look into the football players in the state from a firsthand:

PLAYER: Eddie Tabasky.
SCHOOL: Daytona Beach Mainland
POSITION: OL
HEIGHT: 6-3
WEIGHT: 310
www.floridakids.us PRE-SPRING RATING: 110

THE SCOOP ON THIS FLORIDA KID: In a year that features some impressive big men in the state, here is one that has already proven himself – at many different levels.
EVALUATION: "Watching him run and pass block for the 5A champs last season gave me an opportunity to see this big guy do many different things that became attractive to college recruiters across the country.
His ability to open holes for the running game was evident the past two seasons. Last year, he began to showcase his skills as a pass blocker, which will be essential if he is to play at the next level."
THE INSIDE STORY: Took part in the MSL Combine in Gainesville in April and ended up testing very well which has continued to open doors. His work in the classroom has also been a plus when colleges come calling.
