FLORIDAKIDS.us CLASS OF 2005 RECRUITING EVALUATION:

While you can find out just so much about watching film on an athlete or talking to him on the phone, there is a major advantage to seeing the athlete live. I have been fortunate to see more high school football players in person in the state of Florida than any other source.

In these Recruiting Briefs, I will try and give you some quick points about the athlete. If you should need a more extensive evaluation, please feel free to e-mail me at FloridaKids1@hotmail.com.

I hope you enjoy this rare look into the football players in the state from a firsthand:

PLAYER: Conredge Collins.
SCHOOL: Miami Monsignor Pace
POSITION: FB
HEIGHT: 6-1
WEIGHT: 230
www.floridakids.us PRE-SPRING RATING: 52.

THE SCOOP ON THIS FLORIDA KID: Has been on the radar screen since he was a ninth grader who showed signs of being one of the best the school had ever produced.
EVALUATION: "This is a pure fullback who doesn't disguise his intention of running over the opposition. One of those classic five to six tough yard backs who will get the first down when needed and score when the Spartans are down close
Has decent (4.8/4.9) speed, is very strong, has become a much better blocker over the past year and when he lowers his shoulder, you better be ready for a solid impact.
As a sophomore, I saw him take Willie Williams for a five-yard ride in practice."
THE INSIDE STORY: The son of former New England Patriot and Miami Dolphin runner Tony Collins, this is a young man who fits into a number of college schemes, but is not cut out to be the featured back at the elite level.
