FLORIDAKIDS.us CLASS OF 2005 RECRUITING EVALUATION:

While you can find out just so much about watching film on an athlete or talking to him on the phone, there is a major advantage to seeing the athlete live. I have been fortunate to see more high school football players in person in the state of Florida than any other source.

In these Recruiting Briefs, I will try and give you some quick points about the athlete. If you should need a more extensive evaluation, please feel free to e-mail me at FloridaKids1@hotmail.com.

I hope you enjoy this rare look into the football players in the state from a firsthand:

PLAYER: E.J. Biggers.
SCHOOL: North Miami Beach
POSITION: QB
HEIGHT: 5-9
WEIGHT: 170
www.floridakids.us PRE-SPRING RATING: 135.

THE SCOOP ON THIS FLORIDA KID: Ever since Jeff Bertani took over as head coach of the Chargers, he has had a knack of producing versatile athletes like this. While he is not the best quarterback Bertani has coached, he is easily one of the most athletic.
EVALUATION: "A quick and elusive runner who has a better arm than most believe. His passes are accurate and his 4.56 speed gives him an advantage of getting outside quickly to spot an open man downfield.
But we all know that if E.J. is to play this game at an elite level, it will have to be in the defensive secondary, where his experience of playing on the offensive side of the ball coupled with his overall athleticism, makes him a football player that coaches continue to be impressed with."
THE INSIDE STORY: Nothing beats great coaching, and with the Chargers' exceptional staff of longtime coaches working along side Bertani, athletes are molded in this system.
